Sacramento ARES continued its years-long tradition of providing the fastest and most comprehensive communication network for the California International Marathon.

Several thousand runners start in the cool dark morning at the base of the Folsom Lake Dam and make their way to the State Capitol. ARES volunteers provide radio communications at every aid station and relay handoff. The Net Control Operators sit alongside other safety and response teams at Race HQ providing real-time situational status and key observation events.
