Sacramento ARES participated in the 2026 Shake Out Drill on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 10:15 AM.

The drill is an annual event – on the third Thursday in October – that serves to remind us to be prepared to help our families, our friends, and our community.

The team was not given any warning. They were alerted by the Sacramento County Emergency Alert System to contact Net Control on the repeater. We had several stations make contact with 15 minutes of the alert – which is fantastic.
